Marketing Notes, Week Ending 11/30

How Hire-able Are You.. Really?

Ready, this one hurts, but it applies to all of us:

So many people that fit your ideal client base want to hire you, like this week.

But they won’t, because you won’t be in front of them or top-of-mind when they're ready, and that's your fault.

You think marketing’s convenient, a nice to have, an I’ll get to it when I can, a set-it-and-forget-it, or white label side activity.

But it’s actually the growth driver for the majority of you and you’re not employing it.

Ask yourself these couple Q’s:

  • If you share something on socials, do you have an audience of potential ideal clients that have a chance to see it? Meaning they either follow you, or have been engaged in your content previously so the algorithm at least knows to get you in front of them?

  • If your ideal prospect was considering your services this week, would they think of you?

  • Do you have confidence that your content would hopefully gain their consideration?

Be present where your ideal prospects spend their time.
Be there often.
Be there with clarity and confidence.

“But Corey, my business is built and based on referrals, I’ve never needed outbound marketing to help drive conversations.”

How much bigger would your business be if those new referrals had something to latch onto when they did their behind-the-scenes due diligence (like we all do before we hire)?

Or, how many referrals do you lose because you don’t?

I hope you had a terrific Thanksgiving break, let’s close strong.
