Marketing Notes, Week Ending 4/13

If you're wondering if it's possible, "yes," easy, "no."

This is a real conversation I’m having more and more often.

  • “Corey, could I actually turn my current business into that?”

  • “What would it take?”

  • “Is it even possible to achieve the goals I have for my business?”

  • “Have you seen anyone else do it?”

As always, I’ll be straight with you.

Yes. You can do it.

But if you’re trying to do everything on your own… it’s going to be tough. Really tough.

If you’re wondering if it’s possible—yes.

If you’re wondering if it’s easy—no.

I won’t sugarcoat that.

With all the advisors I’ve worked with, and all the RIAs / boutique managers I’ve worked with, “Yes,” I’ve seen DIY solo efforts move the needle—but they always hit a ceiling. The gains are there, sure. But then they plateau. Why? Because time, energy, and capacity are real. You can only do so much alone before you become your own bottleneck.

The ones who’ve really elevated their businesses to a new level—where it’s not just a little better, but meaningfully different—have all done one thing:

They found help.

They outsourced or hired. Whether it was marketing, strategy, operations, content creation, or all of the above… they stopped trying to do it all themselves.

That’s what allowed for change.

If this resonates with you and you’re currently bumping your head against the ceiling, good news, you’re not alone. Bad news, this usually continues without help.

I wouldn’t overhaul your business, rather take a step back and consider where and what type of help could be most meaningful within your current budget and explore starting there.

I hope you have a great week, thanks for reading.
