Give Yourself a Chance at New Business This Week
I had something more in-depth on deck for tonight but instead of getting cute I’m going to share a common marketing challenge that plagues many.
I hope it can offer future encouragement if you find yourself in a similar frame of mind.
Here it is: You have a great business, a great offering, have plenty of situations you can draw on as examples of how you’re helping clients…
But instead, you get in your own way and choose to stay quiet, on the sidelines, and not give yourself the best chance of generating new conversations.
I’ve said it a million times but one million and one might be what it takes.
No one is growing your business for you. So, if you’re not consistently talking about, promoting, and making people aware of your business, what chance do you have of a new phone call or DM this week?
Some might counter with: “Referrals.”
Okay, but here’s the deal with referrals. They need a reminder too. The referrers don’t wake up and think “Oh I should definitely tell three people about XYZ business today.”
Rather they’re a current, happy client and they’ve consumed your recent marketing content and it just so happens to intersect with a conversation they were having or may have in the near future—which will elicit the referral.
I work with my clients to consistently generate high-quality, engageable, relative content because it gives them a better chance at new conversations with ideal prospects.
That is all.
Please consider giving yourself the best chance to win this week.
Happy Sunday evening.
If you found this helpful and have friends, colleagues, or family in financial services that might benefit from reading a few raw marketing notes every week, I'd be thrilled if you shared this with them.
Thanks for reading.
