Marketing Notes, Week Ending 6/1

“No one can grasp the machine”

It’s not about tactics and activities.

“Corey, the machine we’ve built is working. It’s working well”

(This was from an advisor last week)

Several years ago, they broke it all down, rebuilt it, and today it’s humming.

It’s a great word—machine.

MOST simply can’t grasp the concept. The impatience and risk of knocking it down, or pausing, to get it right is a non-starter.

Instead, they’d rather try, experiment, and band-aid their way around. A hamster wheel that checks your boxes but doesn’t turns into real growth.

Everyone reading, take a moment, be honest with yourself, and think about all the tactics and activities you’ve experimented with over the years.

Some of you have turned the corner and have built or are building the machine, but some of you are still stuck on the wheel.

Think about all the time you’ve spent, the money you’ve spent, even the excitement you’ve had, on those things that just never moved the needle.

Can you get there with me, and grasp the idea of the machine?

It’s a website that instills confidence, gives human, and encourages future conversations.

It’s social and digital content that does the same, built on creative quality with professionalism.

It’s video that helps people envision a positive future when they hire you.

It’s a newsletter that encourages confidence, written in English, and that you’re excited to share consistently.

It’s having the right audience. Are the people that I really want to work with seeing all of this?

This is the machine. And when built right, you’re really proud of it.

I hope you had a great weekend. Welcome to June, let’s have a month.
